First thing I see from the rear is Hyundai/Genesis which is not a bad thing at all. I agree the chrome front grill is not to my liking but the rest of the car remains handsome. The current Accord is most definitely the most premium looking in this class and looks like it'll continue to be so.

Oh, great, now Honda has its own shield/beak grille.

That rear chrome piece gives it an angry unibrow look. And it makes that BIG rear end look even taller and BIGGER.

Taillights look more expensive. Still too much suspension showing from the rear view.

What Honda needs to do is stop being so stingy with their option packages and colors. The Sport desperately needs a leather, nav, and sunroof option. Toyota has no problem at all moving out higher-optioned SE's.
It took Toyota a generation and a half to realize this. The XSE wasn't offered until the current generation. You'd think Honda would learn from Toyota's mistake.

Transmission upgrades could be nice. So probably CVT on I4 and 9AT on V6

Agreed. Although the past two generation Camry SE's have both been available with leather, sunroofs, and nav. I think they just renamed the higher-optioned SE, XSE.

I agree with those calling it handsome. I don't think the chrome bar on the front is an improvement though. It starts to give the impression of the awful Acura chrome beak.

it looks all right but kind of old... like those led strips by fogs, those look like something from cars offered in 3rd world countries - and same goes for those thick chrome bars... best things in Honda's are old school and sometimes when they try to be hip, they end up being half generation behind.

I would still own one but after Mazda 6 that is doing so horribly in USA (and great in Europe)

Looks bit busy and the chrome for the front is too much. Still like the current one better.

Lot of comments here about the chrome front bar on the grille. I agree it is shaped a little too much like the Acura parrot-beak, but I don't see anything wrong with a fair amount of chrome, as long as it is not carried to extremes like on American cars in the late 1950s. IMO, a car looks cheap with nothing but a sea of body-color paint and/or black trim.

some people don't like fairly subtle front chrome bar.

on the other hand i've seen a couple of new camry se's recently, and the front giant gaping grill looks ruins the front. i will say the rear is improved though.

I'm surprised Toyota can keep selling the bland Camry when the handsome Accord and downright pretty Mazda 6 are competitors.
Well said! If I was in the market, I would go for this or the Mazda6, but for the general public It all comes down to brand recognition and marketing dollars.

With the Camry, marketing dollars are generally not a issue...........that ceased to be a factor decades ago. People buy Camrys simply because they ARE Camrys. In fact, most of the people I know who have bought Camrys have done so simply as repeat owners.....some with more than 200K on their old ones. Even when they come to me for buying advice, and I show them the credible alternatives now in the mid-size sedan field (not just the Accord, Altima, and Mazda6, but others as well), they still are drawn to new Camrys.

Good point, but I see a lot more commercials for Camrys than I do for Accords (and none for the Mazda6) so that's what I mean by marketing dollars. Most are spent by Toyota.
