Though I'm not taking a formal position on it, some CTS-V fans might contest that.
Without a doubt, MM, the CTS-V is pretty damn sporty. Having been in the CTS VSport, I think it by itself is inherently sportier than the GS350 F-sport
Are you trying to justify your purchase, Steve? J/K.
From my experience, LS' steering feels very different from the GS'. GS' is way more precise and even more so when in S+. It's my opinion though and I'm no car expert.
LOL, not comparing the two at all, I was just saying I was surprised the steering on he LS was as well weighted as it is.
Although the ISF has more power.....the GS FSport if properly equiped will beat it in a more technical race track.
i am interested to understand more of your basis on this. how so? and what is "properly equipped", with a lot of mods? how about stock to stock? how about modified to modified?
I'm just curious, why compare the LS460 with the 550i instead of the 750i or the S550. Wouldn't those be a more apples to apples comparison.
ls460 reasonably optioned is around 80. s550 even base is noticeably more than that, and 750i isn't much cheaper. if that's the price range OP has, then 550i would be in the picture

Sorry, no chance of this. I tracked the GS350 F-Sport at both Laguna and NOLA Motorsports Park and while it is a very compelling drive with really good steering feel, there is no way it will touch the IS-F on the track - especially not the 2011+ revisions.
Also, the notion that the IS-F is "nothing more" than an IS with a V8 engine thrown in is the type of bluster usually reserved for fanboys on BMW forums. Remember that the MY2011 lapped VIR in C+D's LL series as fast as the E92 M3 - a car with far superior power-to-weight ratio.
