Default New hosts of Top Gear U.K. announced by BBC

Yahoo via Bold Ride and Yahoo via Business Insider

Take a look at the three faces you see above. You could be looking at the new and improved crew that will replace Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond when BBC’s Top Gear returns to your television screen. At least, according to the UK’s Express.

On the left is Philip Glenister, a 52-year-old English actor who has most recently appeared in television shows The Hollow Crown, Outcast, and Big School. In the middle is 33-year-old Guy Martin, who is full-time motorcycle racer and part-time television host. And, last but not least, is 36-year-old Jodie Kidd, who is a host on a program called The Classic Car show.
The BBC has reportedly selected its "dream team" for the next season of its hit car show, "Top Gear."

According to the Telegraph's James Rothwell, the trio will consist of model Jodie Kidd, actor Philip Glenister, and television host Guy Martin.

Kidd, 36, is a a noted fashion model and TV personality who currently hosts "The Classic Car Show" on the UK's Channel 5. Kidd is a well-known car enthusiast and has appeared on "Top Gear" twice as guest.

Glenister, 52, has had leading roles on the British TV shows "Life on Mars" and "Ashes to Ashes." The actor currently hosts "For the Love of Cars" on Channel 4 in the UK.

Martin, 33, is a successful TV host and motorcycle racer. He's made nearly a dozen appearances at the prestigious Tourist Trophy motorcycle race on the Isle of Man.

The new hosts will take over for Jeremy Clarkson – removed from the show after nearly 30 years at the helm due to a fracas with a producer – as well as Richard Hammond and James May, both of whom chose not to renew their contracts.

Longtime executive producer Andy Wilman has also left the show.

The BBC has not set a formal date for season 23 of "Top Gear."

Its like re-casting Seinfeld - will never work......Special shows only come around ever so often.

Their best bet would of been to go with completely different Concept and do 2 hosts or 4.

I thought Jay Leno would have been the best replacement......but, hey, give these three a chance. Popular as those three were, the world didn't revolve around Clarkson, May, and Hammond. There's probably no such thing as an indispensable person.

I just figured that, like Clarkson, he was a car enthusiast, a comedian, and knew how to make jokes. And, with his Tonight Show contract over, he'd have time for a new show.

Yep. Never know until they try.

"never" is a bit much... american idol, the voice, the office, and many other shows were british shows with different stars.

i don't. it's still a british show and a) i doubt he has any interest in leaving the california coast to work in britain, and b) i'm not sure the british audience would appreciate him at all.

agree there! CMH were awesome, but time moves on... and they were getting a bit old for their antics anyway.

looks like a promising new crew.

I'll probably watch it to see if it's good or not but what I am really interested is what the new shows clarkson will be doing with may and hammond.

So 3 people that basically no one outside the UK has ever heard of... If they were going to get a female they should have gone with sabine schmitz.
Without Hammond,May and Clarkson it Sounds about as interesting as Top Gear US and Id rather watch the twilight movies than that abortion.

can't be the same but that doesn't mean it will be bad. and she's certainly nicer to look at than clark, may or hammond.

True, but that Maserati next to her isn't exactly ugly, either.

here's a clip of Kidd with Clarkson when she was a guest.

she also did a thing called "Stars in Fast Cars" featuring the three of 'em and other celebrities as well.

Guy Martin in a relatively tiny motorcycle racer.

Jodie Kidd is going to tower over him during the show. Most likely just like Clarkson over Hammond...
