Don't care what the revolving door management at Caddy has to say. And long ago that non-aero Escalade -derived artsy science styling was getting old.

Agreed, that art decoish thing they're doing just looks awkward now. The straight vertical lines at the rear look stodgy, like a more sophisticated 300C, and that's not a compliment. Cadillac interiors are also a mess of sharp lines and mismatched materials. They need better looking cars - no amount of Twitter PR spiel or German-baiting dynamic performance can overcome the current ugly looks.

Getting old, maybe, but still selling. Over 30,000 of them went out the door last year...a respectable if not huge number.

If you want to see some seriously awkward design, Google up XTS-L. It's the extended wheelbase version of the XTS by Shanghai GM with a rear overhang the size of a Prius. With products like that, Cadillac needs more than just chest-beating PR on Twitter, especially when the Lexus ES and Ford Mondeo can make long wheelbase FWD sedans look good.

Yes, respectable quantity, with fleet/rental sales included but I don't recall I said they didn't sell in respectable quantities. Compared to a sick Lincoln division's sedans, might even be impressive. CTS got price cuts for 2015, maybe that will help with declining sales.

Yes, getting old ("styling" which I did mention) plus below average reliability and mediocre resale value are also Caddy brand traits too.

Notes:
Btw Caddy is suffering a sales decline while the lux market is booming/growing, GM might find that to be getting old too...
