Why? It didn't go "bye bye" on the RX with the Canadian production.

5. The F1 project required 60 designers, 24 engineering teams, 1,400 engineers, 2,300 technicians, 220 support workers, around 450 prototypes, and over $1-billion
60 designers? well my mind is blown.....what were they doing those designers 60 of them....

and how many is that exactly, and did you own both a japanese and north american built version for objective comparison?

the canadian rx for example has received nothing but stellar accolades for quality and consistency.

Both My GS400 (only built in Japan) and my RX (US and Japan Built) were built in Japan.

First Japanese brand (Lexus) I have ever owned. No complaints, after 20+ years of GM and a couple Fords tossed in, I don't think you could get me back into a GM car. Sad, very sad that GM keeps alienating customers over profits. Talk about an oxymoron....

Not owning an ES (only drove my mom's 08 ES), I thought they were largely already produced in the US. All Avalon for North America IIRC was built in the US. Even designed here in Florida. I thought Camry's and ES's were all built in the same location.

The RX is built in Japan as well as at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada plant in Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA. Unless there has been a very recent, very quiet takeover of Canada by the US, we still live in Canada, not the USA.

My bad, I thought it was the US. I thought the VIN # showed US. Mine starts with a J for my car and my wife's.

Maybe if we don't get more Timmies down here we will have to move the border up a few miles to get them "down here" My wife is addicted to Tim Hortons....
