I agree too much chrome on the console, but this car is probably aimed at those who miss their Town Cars....and, if possible, to bring in some of the former Buick Lucerne and Cadillac DTS customers as well.

Finally doing away with the hideous grill of current models. This looks nice and desperately what Lincoln needs. This could be a true contender (design wise) and steal some Buick thunder. I don't know if it will compete with caddy (mechanically wise).

Exterior looks good though.
I can't wait to see the new flagship Cadillac sedan. That looked real good!
This is a concept, many features are exaggerate for aesthetic reasons.

The rear reminds of the Saab 9-5

The new platform is a stretched version of the one used for the Fusion. Powerplant is a 3 liter V-6 Ecoboost and the car is AWD. I disagree that RWD is necessary for a luxury car, Audi seems to do well with their FWD architecture with AWD. I wonder if the 3 liter is Lincoln's version of the 2.7 used in the new F150 and Edge. Alex on Autos could not stop commenting on how fast the Edge Sport was with the 2.7.

I really like the style even though much is overdone for "Concept" purposes like the giant wheels and interior chrome.

I wonder if Ford will get a version to replace the Taurus?

It looks like Lincoln is finally on a roll.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the exterior make it to production (except maybe for the wheels/tires, which would probably self-destruct on the first major pothole)...but parts of the interior, I agree, are exaggerated.

Thanks for the info. Agree on the AWD/RWD issue. Cops and taxi drivers must also be wondering about a Ford version.

Yep. If they managed to enhance the CD4 Fusion's natural athleticism we're going to be in good shape.

this looks way bigger (longer) than a taurus. continental in the past was always bigger too.

regardless, why all the comparing with ford fusion and engines, etc. i don't see as much comparing on here between lexus and toyotas or audi and vw, etc. regardless, platform and component sharing is done everywhere, it has to be or vehicles become stupidly expensive.

That seems to be a major difference between this Continental concept and the last Continental of the 1990s, which was essentially just a slightly stretched 90s-vintage Taurus with a FWD 4.6L , a blah interior, cheap materials, and mediocre road manners. Most reviewers (myself included) considered it a very unimpressive product, and sales showed, as most potential customers ended up in the larger, more plush Town Car instead. Low sales and the car's mediocre reputation forced Lincoln to drop it in 2002.

so far, this looks amazing... i hope they make it and make it like this.

this is what they should do... right now their interiors look like Ford interiors.

Looks like a modern Lincoln Continental.
I like it.
I think the less concept look will sell well.

I agree. Once the concept look is toned down it should make a nice flagship for Lincoln. MUCH better than the MKS.

love the transition in the taillights. This car will be a winner for the Lincoln brand.

I wonder what's the spec on the 3.0L ecoboost. I thought it would have at least 3.5L.
