IIRC, that happened in the last 10-15 years.....but the guberment stepped in and prevented it.

Default $15,000 repair bill

At the same time, despite lexus's enviable reliability record, that doesn't mean that they should be let off the hook, when problems such as this, do arise:

Lexus, u need to issue a recall. This is unacceptable, and it's happening too often.
