Toyota themselves used to do it!!

Lexus just cannot do anything right, can it?

For the record, I drive a 2015 ESh. I consider it a rather elegant car, despite (or perhaps because of) the aggressive spindle grill. One reason my wife agreed to it is because she too agrees about how it looks (she dislikes both the NX and even the RAV4 because of the aggressive, protruding taillamp designs).

Regarding this topic, man lexus is pretty good about being tight-lip.
Here we have no idea what lexus is talking about: a new car design or a new design studio

You are correct on the above. How much is too much? Where is that happy balance??

It seems though as each release get a bit more aggressive with that Spindle grill that it's turning allot of people off now.

I too am finding it difficult to like (appreciate).

Love it or hate it; sales are up. So I think it would be safe to say that the general public likes it.

correlation doesn't equal causation. population is up too, plus economy has rebounded some, esp. stock market, plus more models available = greater sales even if pretty much nothing changed.

Than why has some other brands remain the same or even declined?

Lexus is outperforming the market, so you cant win the argument there... But it is fine to dislike the design while recognizing it is selling great ... It is a fact.

Well, thank you! I'll send you the $50 later!

But in all seriousness, when I wanted to trade my GS F Sport for a coupe I did look at the RC350 F Sport. It has a nice shape but is just too overstyled for me. I went back to an S5 that has been on the market for 7 years and still found it beautiful without screaming "look at me".

If Lexus does introduce the LF-LC, I think they will tone it down a bit. I'm waiting.

A Lexus official has already confirmed that 90%+ of the styling from the LF-LC concept will make it onto the production car.

Which brands? BMW, Audi and Mercedes are up. They are Lexus' main competitors. Infiniti may be down, but they haven't introduced much new, decent product. Cadillac may be down because their high pricing predated their brand perception. I think even Hyundai, Kia and Lincoln are up right now. A rising tide (i.e. economy, household income, consumer sentiment) raises all boats.
