DARPA "car-hackers" on Security Now! podcast today (March 3)
There's been some discussion here about the 60-minutes piece from a few weeks ago where DARPA contractors demonstrated some remote control capabilities via the OnStar system on a 2009 Impala. GM has since announced that they're working on closing the vulnerability that made this possible.
The contractors who discovered this vulnerability--and got a grand total of one sentence of audio included in the 60 minutes report--are going to be on this afternoon's Security Now! podcast. It's live at 4:30PM Eastern, and an archive copy will probably be posted by tomorrow morning.
Obviously I can't directly vouch for the specific content, since it hasn't happened yet, but they tend to do a pretty thorough job. So those of you who are more interested in the specifics may want to take a look.
