I'm sure Subie doesn't care. As long as people are buying their cars.

I don't need daily AWD traction now as much as I did several years ago before I retired, or I'd (probably) still be driving a Subie myself.

I would not have guessed a Tacoma in HI--or anywhere for that matter.

Until the last few years,I would never consider a Subaru.I'm sure others feel the same.
I grew up in CT, and my dad had an '83 Subaru wagon. He LOVED it--no PS, no PB. Also--no 4WD. What can I say, my dad was cheap. Didn't matter, though--it was great in the snow with FWD.

I grew up in a pretty liberal town. Some of the local features were a big draw to middle-age lesbian couples.

Subarus are everywhere.

So now that we know what wacky, left wing liberals drive.

Next question is what do uptight, conservative, right wingers drive?

C'mon. Really?

Same here, Subaru and Dodge leading the way in some states is a bit of a shock. I thought Toyota would have more states.

That was an old stereotype with Saabs and Subarus years ago (not just with Lesbians, but a number of other left-wing groups) that has generally become less-relevant lately, as Saab is no longer around and Subaru has greatly expanded its appeal to those across the political spectrum.

I might add that while that was the old Subaru stereotype, based on what I myself saw, I did not agree with it (as I disagree with many stereotypes). I only mentioned it because that was the old picture being painted in the auto press. But the fact is that Subies are quite popular in some states with mountains and/or snowy climates, regardless of how the electorate in those states vote.

Personally, to me, most of the results on that map are not surprising. I'd say my only real surprise was the Corolla in Florida. Given Florida's high number of seniors, I would have probably guessed the Buick LaCrosse. Today, I probably see more seniors driving the LaCrosse than any other single vehicle.

i lived in seattle for few years and never would have guessed that Subbies are most popular brand there. Pretty amazing.
