People are so programmed, though. I see the same thing at Sam's Club. There's always a huge line of cars on the RIGHT side of the pump, but no line on the LEFT side. When I have my wife's car with the tank on the left side of the car, I go to the left side of the pump, around all those people sitting there waiting forever, and stretch the hose around the car. In and out in no time. It amazes me every time.

Like I said above, the official line from the automakers is for safety reasons, as they say the drivers's side is more likely to get sideswiped. But I suspect that whatever side of the car it is cheaper for them to use in terms of production costs in left-vs.-right-hand drive models is the true reason.

That's why I typically give this as a car warming gift. It works on almost all minor stuff.

Why would the fuel tank only need to be filled up by the person who is on the side of the gas cap? Why can't a driver fill up the tank when the gas cap is on the passenger side?

So the JGC has (now) adopted Ford's self-sealing, capless system? I didn't know that.

The last JGC I reviewed (3 or 4 years ago), I believe, had a conventional cap.

Beautiful looking car, and I love the color.

But, you do have to plug it in somewhere.

Yeah, gets plugged in each night, on my carport. I wake up every morning with a full "tank".

As long as you have power, of course.

whats the point of having it on the passenger side, driver has to walk around the car twice to fuel the car, unlike if it was on the drivers side. Easier if every car was fueled from the drivers side
