If that was in Germany, that guy will go to jail, and not just for a few days.

The Autobahn is ultimate automotive freedom, but it is also a place of strict enforcement. On speed restricted sections, they will pull you over for doing 5-10kph over, they will write you a ticket with a SEVERE fine for things like tailgating, hanging out in the left when not passing, etc.

What I find amazing about the autobahn is the significantly lower fatality rate vs the US interstate. The main thing I attribute it to is much better drivers on their roads. German culture, Germans by nature, are very disciplined, and they just don't hand out driver's license to anybody, you need to prove that you are worthy of the privilege of driving.

More like "idiots in Ferrari and GT-R cause crash". I am hoping no one was injured - they are lucky the accident wasn't more severe.

i saw this on the GTR board. they blamed the ferrari, too. its obvious that they were racing by the speed that both came by the camera car. hard to blame one and not the other. the ferrari was trying to pass the car in front, but the car in front moved to the left. the ferrari had to move 'lefter'. and the GTR was there....

The guy in the car that was hit did a great job of keeping it in control. Almost like it was practiced.

Im sure they were both racing. In the end the clown in the Ferrari would rather die than let a dude in a GTR smoke him. LOL I cant even get people in slower 911s to get out of my way on a track.

where was he gonna go? he swerved to the middle lane as there was a car in his. the car in his lane then moved to the middle lane. in hindsight...yeah, he made the wrong choice. but it was a split second decision and im sure his reflex was to keep going in the same direction (left) than to swerve back to the right to avoid the car that he was trying to avoid.

i blame racing on a crowded freeway...

The GTR driver is a little to blame as well as he clearly zoomed by the traffic on the left lane indicating he was racing with the Ferrari.

People still take the bait to race despite the risks and it's sad.

crappy GTR driver why would he serve into the shoulder where a guardrail is. Couldve avoided it with a little light braking

GTR driver would get speeding ticket.
Ferrari driver would get nailed for speeding, dangerous driving (unsafe lane change), and maybe leaving the scene of an accident.

Watch the video carefully! The GTR driver had no choice but moved onto the shoulder; the Ferrari driver didn't cut him off (for him to apply light braking) ). The Ferrari practically forced him to by merging onto his lane.
They were definitely street racing.
