yeah, no joke. If i don't change my oil every 5k, i can always guarantee that the low oil light will come on and its low when i check the dip stick.

since you live in Florida, i'd look for a RWD GS350 instead.

The ES i was looking at had less mileage but as i posted earlier i was a little spooked upon learning about the acceleration issues.Just went to look at the GS yesterday and the condition was so so but like you stated 100k miles is somewhat high to purchase a car with.

after 5k not surprising you might get a low oil light and if as was posted a quart is needed every 1k you'd have pretty much no oil at all after 5k, lol.

there's no 'acceleration issues' with any lexus.
