Any talk of a carbon fiber roof option?

-Carbon Ceramic Brakes (2NK)
-BMW Akrapovic M Performance Exhaust System

The only car that comes close are the Audi RS6/RS7 and the Jaguar XF-RS. Perhaps the new Cadillac CTS-V might join it as well. The MB E63 S AMG 4 MATIC comes close.....but interior looks a bit dated.

So personally imho, unless something better comes along, the BMW M5 F10 is still the performance benchmark in this class.

Ask Batman (stealth.pilot) why he got a second BMW M5.

P.S.
On another note, why are there some people here that hate on BMW?

Sure I know this is a Lexus fan site but imho, we should be open to other car brands as well.
Brand loyalty( even if blindly )

I've had 2 BMWs 1 Acura and this is my first Lexus.

I love my 15 GS350 but I know I only sought Lexus because of their impeccable reliability and it all went from there.

If BMW was nearly as reliable and had ease of maintenance as its Japanese rivals, I'm sure it's sales would sky rocket and the Japanese manufactures would lose their niche.

If BMW is reliable and easy to maintain like a Lexus, nobody would buy a Lexus

LOL exactly what I think. We switched to BMW and MB because we think they make nicer vehicles. But their products are soo unreliable! I would never keep a Bimmer or MB beyond warranty! But at the same time, we just can't come to love any Lexus because of the frigging spindle grill.

That's like saying the M3 and the M5 have too much overlap...

Hi Trexus,

You are really analyzing this thread as my input was from January 6 (over 4 months ago).

My poorly made point was more about the use of the same drivetrain in the ISF and GSF leading to a lot of overlap.

BMW differentiation between the M3 and M5 includes different motors (with much more power in the M5).

^^^My apologies. I see your point. Maybe Lexus should stuff the twin turbo V8 from the LS TMG into the GS F...

Was checking out some of the old RC F threads and saw that a product brochure came out for the RC back on April 3rd, 2014.
Here we are in May and really, we don't know any more about the GS F than we did in January.
RC-F price wasn't revealed until like late August/early September I think, so I don't expect that for the GS F for a while. Just wanting to see some options and packages. Maybe a special edition, like the launch IS-Fs?

Probably they will time it with GS refresh later this year.

Was GS-F present in Shanghai?

You're probably right. But even the refresh should be revealed soon. Both RX and ES are slated for late fall. GS around that time too.

And I think the GS F missed Shanghai

+1 Looks aftermarket and unbefitting of its class. Hopefully it'll look better in a darker color.

the spindle grille cars dont look that great in white in general. Hence why my 3IS is gray when my last two cars were white
