Orange would be better than this ugly gold on the M3/M4

Man if that were true I would go and put a deposit to hold one as soon as possible, I wish pretty sure it will be in the $72K-80K range.

What I expect them to do is either neuter it and make it a straight line rocket or make it very tail sliding happy which in my opinion is the worst thing to expect from your four door car. I never appreciated skidding four doors cause that is just nonsense, hence I never liked AMG sedans ever. BMW M3 was surgically precise up until last gen and M5 was never good at anything except that beautiful V10 sound in previous gen. I never understood people's obsession with oversteer in anything bigger than S2000 or RX8, even if you can control it to a degree and especially not in pig cars like M5, E55 and yes even Viper. That's not joy that's pure stupidity or compromise because the car lacks proper thrilling attributes. Driving Evos spoiled me a lot and benchmark is set really high when it comes to four doors

If RC-F is any indication then GS-F should be a composed sedan that will not get you in trouble by acting stupid just because you asked for some thrill but rather provide you with the thrill in a balanced manner like proper sporty-luxury sedan should.
If you are skeptical simply look at the last CTS-V. With a platform dating back to early 2002 and 556 hp Cadillac were able to make that big girl dance. The new CTS-V is much lighter, has a much more advanced chassis and like the CTS V-Sport is light weight for the class and is very balanced. it also uses the next gen Magnetic suspension along with the Z06s electronic Limited Slip Differential and Performance traction management. There should be no such issue with balance.

It also has a lot more torque, like a lot more. On a lightweight chassis. The sole reason why current M3 acts like AMG car instead of like M car, completely frantic and skidding all over the place.

On some level, I think Lexus is being handcuffed by the LFA. Imagine telling the 500 or so owners of their 2yr old $400k supercar has less HP than the guy with the $80k car? Yes yes it's an out of production car designed 10yrs ago and its in a different class, but a flagship is a flagship and a halo car is a halo car. For Lexus to leapfrog that car in HP is in some ways embarrassing. I see Lexus letting lose with their next iteration of the F cars, reaching at or above the 550HP level, perhaps in 3 years. That should be sufficient time since the LFA production ended.

I highly doubt Lexus is making directions for mainstream cars based on what 500 LFA owners who they receive no financial benefit from think.

I see your point but technology needs to advance with the times. If the reason to not increase hp due to protection of the reputation of a 10 year old designed halo car, then the future of Lexus is doomed.
