I like it more in these new pics...I'll have to see it in person and in some other colors.

The torque on GS-F F-Sport seems lower compared to competition...

so basically all that matters is HP? Thats the criteria you are comparing with?
Interesting.

I did not know that GS-F is GS350 with V8 engine, you learn something every day I guess.

The GS450h isn't selling, who cares if the GS-F is priced similarly, they priced the hybrid way too high and the results are it sold 11 in December. Hopefully they don't use a poor selling way overpriced model as a reason to price a potentially decent seller higher and make it another poor selling model. I think they should be really aggressive with pricing for the GS-F and get a decent amount on the road. I think lower to mid 70's for a base GS-F would be great and get people talking and interested in it over pricing it closer to 100K which will likely ensure very low sales/interest.

this thread is fun to read.

seems people want a gs-f to compete with m5 and e63 but cost $80K loaded. that's DELUSIONAL. even if lexus could match the specs it would be $100K loaded minimum.

i don't believe this damages the 'F' brand which is basically invisible so far anyway. lexus has had the IS-F for a number of years, ALONE, which was very weak. why didn't they call the LFA an F model? maybe just Lexus F or RS-F or something? that might have helped. the rc-f is a good addition, but seems like it's replacing the is-f, so lexus will still be with just ONE f model until the gs-f is actually available. and while not what many wanted, at least lexus is doing a gs-f and it will still be a great performing car. i believe it will run circles around e550 or 550i etc. because it's lighter with a sportier chassis.

i do agree lexus could/should have done something to up the HP even a little. yeah 500 would have been nice, but i'm betting the focus was on getting it done and maybe it's easier to certify with a drivetrain pretty much 'as is' from other vehicles. plus by not making changes they can be more comfortable with parts and reliability expectations.

I like it, but I wish Lexus made it look more aggressive using some fender flares and more sporty looking wheels.

There is a F logo on the LFA, I thought you have rode in the car Paul , and many magazines and enthusiasts do regard the LFA as an F model.

in my opinion...this car should be priced competitively with a BMW 550i M Sport with the Dynamic Handling Package. that car can be had for around $73K. if the GS-F (or GS500 F Sport ) starts any higher than that then I think Lexus has missed its mark. acceleration numbers should be quite similar and the Lexus should handle much better.

still disappointing considering that the IS/RC versions were on par with the competitions' performance division offerings....BUT...when you realize what it's really competing against, its pretty damn good.

just make sure that Lexus doesnt bring the M5, E63, etc to the press junkets. oh...and let magazines know that the the new F isnt in the class.

This should be called GS 500 F sport instead of GSF. You don't see M5 carries same power as M3 especially when the car is quite heavier.

I like the styling but the performance figure is not getting me back to GS camp yet.

Good luck with that ..... but BTW Top Gear already has an article with a title saying that M3 should watch out for the GS F
