I fear the GS450h's days are numbered. I would not object to a replacement with 400+hp, hybrid AWD and better EV capabilites. All things considered the current GS450h is superb. Slap that new front on it and i'm ready to join the hybrid bandwagon

the current 450h together with the price tag makes it very unattractive here in the US market. lexus needs to carefully rethink what direction they really want to go with this car

Starting price perhaps:
RCF starts 62k
GS costs about $5k more than a base RC, therefore lets say $68k
RCF is $20k more than base RC, so again this brings us to base GS + 20k which is again around $68k

^^
This is correct. From past trends, it is approximately $20k to make the jump from the base 350 model to the F model with all the performance upgrades (2008 IS350 to 2008 IS-F / 2015 RC350 to RC-F).

Being that the GS-F will have the TVD as standard equipment ($1750 option for the RC-F), it's safe to assume that we're looking at a $22k premium for the GS-F when compared to a base GS350 (which would bring the starting price of the GS-F around the $70k mark [plus or minus $2k]).

except that GS will have TVD standards and probably many other things that RC-F does not have standard (full leather, etc)... so I expect over $80k.

Of course, thats still cheap compared to competition that loaded costs $35k more for two turbos more.

True and I don't think they'll be any base trim available.
The GS-F will come in with options.

I think a big hindrance to the entire F line is that to date no one has cracked the computer in order to tune it. I realize it is a small subset who mod high end performance sedans but with every other make be it Caddy, Merc, or BMW you can go wild with it as a platform since it can be tunded. I think if the ISF, RCF and GSF had the ability to be tuned and have power adders added it would do allot for the brand from an image standpoint, even if the base model was down on power.

it will likely have something like ML and pre-crash as options, with leather, TVD and other things standard (that are not in RC).

GSF looks great imo.
2 things i dont like:
- tailights look like cheap aftermarket, in person it should look better
- fake CF trim on engine cover

If its priced at M3 level (70-80k) then its a winner even though i still feel its a diservice for it to be called a true F model bec it doesnt match its true competitors.

I still think the RC F has the best predator grille, and that it works the best with the rest of the car.

It's a shame no F cars will ever have AWD, probably. Good way to appeal to a wider audience that will use it as a daily driver.

Theres other factors also like the GS chassis already existing. They didnt have to build a different chassis like on the RC. It could factor into the price who knows.
