Cost is one reason.... but the other is, from what I recall those type of speakers need a certain amount of space behind them to operate correctly so I am guessing they may not work well in shallow applications such as in a car?

When I looked at magneplanar and ML in the past, they both needed a lot of room behind them to produce the range.

The interior is nice, the rear most certainly is not. The 3700lbs. Curb weight is quite impressive though!

Agree with you on the rear, its a bit plain for the segment they want to play in with this car.

Exterior styling is very weak just a longer CTS sedan really.
Not sure why the didnt use the Elmiraj styling

Also the 3700lb weight is impressive but depends if thats the base RWD car with the 4cyl engine

if the pics are reasonably close to what will ship at least they get the wheel size/fitment right.

It's a pretty clean design, but too plain amongst it's stylish peers (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Hyundai, et al). It is clear GM still does not fully have a concept of competitive business. It's high time to dump the crazy and dated, retro vertical taillights that have alienated and segregated the mark for over 15 years now. Most well-off savvy potential buyers cannot relate to it and it's time has come and gone decades ago when grandfathers, grandmothers passed away and the world moved on.

Indeed, i wonder why Lexus still hasn't upped the HP of their 3.5?

Seeing how the RCF makes 467HP, the 3.5 should be making no less than 327HP

bit of a letdown. Very underwhelming, but I suppose cadillac design language doesn't afford designers much flexibility.

S class still king of luxobarges.

The rear end does nothing for me... I feel like they're a bit lost on this one.

Weight is impressive but can't get past a 4 and 6 cylinder model. I want effortless acceleration. I don't want to hear the engine screaming to get the car up to speed or having to rev it to 7000rpm just to get power. No thanks. I'll stick to the v8's and up for my big cars.

Today's 4 cylinderers make yesterday's v8 power. The 2.0T has as much power as the s430 2 gens ago

Nice......but hang on, this car competes against BMW 7, S class, A8, and Jag XJ, right?

If so, then this car should have a V8 engine version....
