After following the NX for months and months and months who knows. Toyota/Lexus are real good at hiding their products until they're ready. I'm wondering if it isn't ready. I've read that the production model won't be available until late 4th quarter this year so there is no rush. We do want to see what they thinking however even if it's a wild NX like transformer concept.

I almost feel that whoever wrote the original article at edmunds messed up, and everyone else jumped on it... there may be no release at all, I have not been able to find a single credible source that it will debut at NAIAS.

I am hopeful though, as I have been waiting for this for a year haha

supposedly a Lexus official was quoted saying two new models are coming to Detroit. the 1st one is the GS-F, so Im guess edmund is thinking the 2nd one is a RX replacement.

Lets just clear things up here -

1) The RX will be strictly a 5 seater, in the UK anyway
2) 350hp V8? who thought of that? Its likely a turbo 6 or the 306hp version of the 3.5l from the IS/GS
3) RX450h may have a slight bump in power
4) its going to weight less. Aluminium has been used in the doors. tailgate and the hood.

Disappointed.

Lexus' presentation is done and the only car they showed was the GS F

I suppose we'll have to wait now for Geneva or NY.

Given the RX is verging on being the most important model for Lexus, I don't think they would have shown it alongside the GS-F.

I'd suspect that we'll see a concept/thinly disguised version at Geneva.
