^^^ agreed, also their crash test results are a joke compare to Odyssey

The Quest actually was the worst performing vehicle the IIHS had ever tested in the small offset crash test. The dummy was so crushed under the dashboard that they had to cut out the drivers seat just to extricate it from the vehicle. I'll find the video later, but it makes the Town & Country look like a good performer.

Considering the destructive nature of multiple children, I would opt for hard plastics and fire retardant cloth over soft surfaces and leather. Jeep interiors come to mind.

Otherwise, I'd prefer to place children in pet carriers in my luxury SUV...

As for Children, I know lots of people with multiple children, some are a disaster, some aren't. I'm sure we can keep a clean, nice vehicle even with having three small children. I'm not talking about wanting to put them in a Rolls Royce, but I'd at least like to have materials up front in the drivers area that aren't shockingly thin and hard.

Take my Jeep, the Jeep has nappa leather, leather dash and doors, nice carpeting, real wood trim. Everything is thick and robust though and will clean well. Put a seat cover over the rear bench and there ya go.

base gx doesn't have leather or navigation or even heated seatsi don't believe, so not sure how great a bargain. it drinks gas, needs more gears, and in base form has a load of 'blank' button positions for features you don't have which you'll always be reminded of.

i actually really like the gx though in more loaded form, drives really nice. but good luck getting a combo of options at a dealer or features like radar cruise which means the car is a special order. plus a car like that is over $70k.

Yeah and I really don't want to spend that much for what will be a family hauler. After they're like 6 or so we can trade this in and get back to a nice SUV or something for the family vehicle. I'm going to buy this instead of lease it probably, and finance it and I really don't want 4 figure payments, etc.

I want something that I will enjoy driving on trips and when out with the family, that won't make me say "Wow, this is crappy" every time I drive it, but that isn't so nice I really worry about food and juice boxes and things being consumed in it by children.

You clearly dont have kids it's leather or nothing, I could not image cloth seats , even like the tough material my fj had, leather takes a beating and can be wiped off easy in the hot or sub zero cold

The interior is probably one of the best out there in a SUV.

The 3rd row seat is minuscule at best. Also not the most versatile vehicle given that he's looking at minivans.

For that purpose, fake leather or vinyl is probably been better.
