That way CTS remains same price or cheaper, and they can market a new class of car with no pricing precedence.
I've been saying that for years. Taking a lower-end car and re-inventing it to fit into the next class up is suicide. It takes dozens and dozens of years for that to work and register in shopper's brains, if it ever does at all.

Then they wonder why they had 200 days of supply on the lots.
Wow!

200 day supply.

Doesn't matter what the result will be. The CT6's existence is the most important move for Cadillac at this time in regards to shaping their future and reestablishing image.

"It is too early today for a $250,000 Cadillac," - Johann de Nysschen

Of course thats a discussion for a different thread. This is about the mighty new CTS-V!

Finally had a chance to head down to the Cadillac dealership and I was able to get the options list. I was glad to hear that my local dealership is going to sell for sticker price (as of now no mark up). According to them, production will start late June/early July and the first customers will take delivery in September. Two people have already ordered, not surprisingly. They were not sure what the "luxury package" contains, although there is speculation on the net, and I hope that gas guzzler tax goes away! I hope you all enjoy the info.

Not necessarily- the last-gen CTS-V just lacked a supercharger clutch.

Early reports were that the tax was going to be avoided, which was surprising even given cylinder deactivation. My concern is more principle-based than anything else.

Hehe I respect your opinion mate.....but as I always say:
When it comes to performance and high-end cars, fuel economy should not be your concern since you can afford such a performance vehicle in the first place.

Otherwise, one should either choose from the following if they want to save money:
-Buy a Toyota Prius or VW Jetta TDI
-Ride a two-wheeled vehicle
-Take public transportation

Anyways

From what I was told, that is essentially the online configurator on paper.

In my mind gas prices (per gallon) are not the issue, that has just been accepted as reality. Its more about that tax (gas guzz) on top of the tax on top of the tax(es).

it was just a general statement that superchargers do not make the mileage vs turbos because superchargers boost all the time when turbos do not. Not even mentioning the parasitic loss. The principal of the gas guzzler tax is the ridiculous part of it. Dunno if the C7 Z06 even has a supercharger clutch, the Hellcat does hence why it makes 22 mpg hwy despite being 4500#
