I need help on RX price please!
People are getting huge discount on the 2015 Rx. The 2016 redesign is around the corner. I really not want to spend over 40k for an almost dated model. Who says you will like the 2016 model any more than the 2015? 
Though there are some exceptions, the general trend with many new or redesigned vehicles is to use thinner and thinner materials, smaller and smaller power plants (sometimes with turbos), lower and lower profile tires, and ride more stiffly. I'm not necessarily saying this will happen with the next-generation RX, but my point is that if you like the 2015 model, I wouldn't lose sleep waiting for the 2016....especially if you get a 2015 at a good price.

Well, we don't know yet. I'm not making an absolute prediction.....the 2016 RX may turn out to be superb. But my point is, if you like a vehicle, buy it, especially with a good price, and don't lose sleep or worry about the future. The OP asked for advice, and I thought my response made at least some sense. As I see it, we can't center our lives around what-ifs. I know that for the last 20-25 years or so, I've liked most of the vehicles I've owned better than what their replacements turned out to be....and that includes vehicles from Toyota, Mazda, Saturn, Lexus, Subaru, and Buick.

Prices are always what the market will bear. Since that's their listed price, you should be able to negotiate off of that. For used cars, always look at what the trade in values can be (use multiple sources, edmunds, kbb, blackbook, etc) assume some reconditioning costs, the cost of certifying the car (if you truly want a CPO'ed car) and then some margin on top of that. Maybe with a Lexus you would be willing to forgo CPO for a such a recent, low mileage car.

Who said it would be crap? Not me. I said we'll have to wait and see. Many ES owners, for example, don't feel that the 5th and 6th Generation models were the equal of the superb 4th.

You all but said by assuming its going to be a worse vehicle, 9 times out of 10 the successor is better than the predecessor. If they don't like the 16, they can always buy a 14 nothing worse than having buyers remorse.

But they're using discounts on 2015's as a basis that they feel they shouldn't be paying over $40K out the door on the used vehicle referenced in the link. Not that they're waiting for the 2016 or buying a 2015.

It could (?) be worth 40K if well-equipped. The CPO process, of course, usually adds to the value. Brand-new RX's though, start at $40,900, so I myself would probably get a new one before even a CPO.
