Oil prices are coming down but the new CAFE standards are not. If people buy cars with bigger engines and poorer gas mileage, the car companies are going to do what they need to comply, ie more expensive powerful cars and more incentives to buy more efficient vehicles.

Personally, I hope this means that automakers with big engines will continue to make them for decades to come. I'm really hoping that carmakers like BMW and MB WILL NOT DISCONTINUE their V12 engines.

Personally though, I don't see oil prices as much as an enemy. The BIGGER ENEMY here imho are the ECO-TERRORISTS. Yes, those hippie freaks are brainwashing politicians (especially in Europe) by telling that anything with an Internal Combustion Engine = EVIL and other fanatic stuff.

Man-made global warming is myth.......and majority of air pollution still comes from dirty factories AND NOT from MODERN 12 CYLINDER AND 16 CYLINDER AUTOMOBILES.
