Default Symmetrical wood grain pattern on Rolls-Royce's dash board, how is it made?

Just saw the wood trim panels on a Rolls-Royce have symmetrical wood grain pattern! Anyone know how they make that out of natural wood? They sure are taking it to another level. Now that Hyundai got real wood trims, they must do this to separate themselve.

Before anyone say it is fake wood, this is a Rolls-Royce, that wood aren't fake.

eh, I could do without the turquoise.

The most logical way is to cut two slices of veneer, take one and flip it to mirror the other. Then again, I'm just guessing.

If that's the case, then bring on the pimps. This car shows what a REAL wood and leather interior looks like.

It's called bookmatching. It's used also in guitar making, cabinetry, etc.

Please also note the inlays.

There is an inlay across the entire span of the lower dash.

There is an inlay that has the look of a curled feather above the glove box.

Good stuff, though I'm personally still more impressed with Lexus's Shimamoku wood

Since we're on the process of automotive wood trimmings
