GMC Boss Vows To Change the Face of the Brand

Maybe so, but, IMO, it still doesn't make much business sense to keep GMC. They could be getting those same profits simply by selling more Chevy trucks/SUVS (which those GMC products actually are) without the overhead and other costs of having the separate GMC division, even if Chevys, Buicks and GMCs are now all sold at the same dealerships.
It does bring up the legitimate question, though, if a super-deluxe Suburban or Tahoe could actually compare with a Cadillac Escalade, as the current GMC Yukon/Yukon XL Denali now do. If the same level of Denali trim/equipment is actually put on the Chevy versions, then the answer is probably yes. But, on the other hand, the Escalade is supposed to be GM's top-of-the-line SUV, and, IMO, should not be forced to share its bling and prestige with lower-priced brothers or sisters.
