^Now that 1000whp Camry is IMPRESSIVE, even if it is wrong wheel drive. It still has a full interior, ie its something you can drive on the road.

That tube chassis drag car with the camry body, well it needs more engine if the best they're doing is a 9.8 with a purpose built chassis like that. I'm sure its heavy, but there are guys with heavy, full interior Camaros, Trans Ams, Mustangs etc running better times in very streetable setups. Usually under the hood is a worked over LS series motor of some sort, with a huge turbo or a crazy direct port nitrous system, or both.

Totally agree. You hit the nail on the head. Despite the look-alike body-shell, that is not any more a Camry than Charles Manson was a choir-boy. And, of course, one could say more or less the same thing about the NASCAR Camrys.......except that they are RWD.

This "really fast drag car that LOOKS like a Camry" uses a real Camry shell with the internals stripped out and replaced with a Tundra engine.
NASCAR Camrys use a generic NASCAR body shell, and grill and headlight/taillight stickers on the front and back to make it LOOK somewhat like a Camry. A NASCAR Camry is a Camry in name only; the "really fast drag car that looks like a Camry" at least uses a real Camry shell.
