A CL old timer... and Aston build thread
Hi guys! It's been a long time since I've posted anything here, can't believe it's almost been 7 years since i first joined CL.
The first car I ever bought after graduating from my parent's hand me down was the 2nd gen IS. And I still have the car today. 123k miles and still going strong.
Picture of my car back when I just finished modding it, still looks the same today with a hell lot more rock chips.
At some point during my modding process, I asked myself why am I modding a Lexus for performance when marginal return is so bad for both handling & and power? So last May, this happened:
Then this Sept, I drove with a bunch of my friends to Asheville, NC and put over 2,200 miles on the Lotus in a period of 5 days, enjoying every last bit of some of the best driving roads in the east coast including the tail of the dragon.
With pretty much 99% of every car enthusiasts' driving heaven achieved, I kind of want to get back to the modding / car show / leisure cruise game. so this happened:
At the local car & coffee
The car will be going to the shop next week to begin the modification phase So far the mods I have stacked up in my basement:
Wheels:
New front grill (needs to be painted):
That's all for now, but please stay tuned if you want to follow me on my journey!

Yeah, I was thinking if I should go for the 4.7L, but given my mod budget, a low mile 4.7L + mods would put me right into the range of a ferrari 430.... so I decided I'm not ready to be that ambitious. yet
