Nvm, I checked, they never have 2.5L in EU. It makes sense they don't want to do more testing.

But that didn't stop them from dropping that engine into the TC. The TC is based on the Euro only Avensis if I remembered correctly. Its a low cost upgrade and I'm sure a lot of people will upgrade to it given the option.

The Scion iM is also known as the Toyota Auris and Corolla Hatch in some countries. In the USA all you need to know is: it's the Corolla perfected.

Alex reviews cars so well... I was suprised to learn that iM gets double-wishbone suspension and some upscale features like dual zone, power folding mirrors, 4.2" color screen and 7" display, rear led tubes, etc, etc.

I like it....nothing like the concept of course, but it's a Scion....I didn't expect anything close.

With an MSRP of $18,460 for the manual transmission and $19,200 for the CVTi-S model, the Scion iM is a fun-to-drive hatchback with the space and technology necessary for impromptu escapes from the daily grind. With Scion’s no hassle, no haggle Pure Price, the same price posted in the dealership is the price customers pay.

I would buy this over the (made in Mexico) Honda Fit - where is the iM to be built?

Japan... it is a hatch but one size larger than Fit... based on Auris from Europe, newer brother to CT200h.

Hoovey - just because it is a hatch, it does not look like a fit at all... Auris does not look like small minivan, I guess you will see it soon.

If you don't look real closely at the brand-emblem on the blue one, it could easily be mistaken for a Mitsubishi product.

motorweek noted it's almost the same size as lexus cth.

i note is has 50% more cargo room and is more than 10K less expensive, but the cth does get WAY better overall fuel economy though.
