If you can stomach the grill (painted or 2010+), the Acura TL 3.7 with SH-AWD and a manual shifter is one surprisingly fun and comfortable ride

I wouldn't say the TL is really "sporty" tho

Used AWD MazdaSpeed6...though there were only a few thousand built and may be hard to find.
Used Subaru Legacy GT.
Used Volvo S60 T5 AWD.
Used Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 (these could have reliability problems. though).
Used 2Gen Cadillac CTS AWD (avoid the 1Gen version)
Used Cadillac ATS AWD
(You might even be able to get a new AWD ATS under 40K, with rebates, if there is not many options)
Also, keep in mind that any used sport-oriented car with a lot of power may have had some hard driving (and wear) from its first owner.

You can get a Dodge Charger, AWD with the Hemi V8. Its really pointless though, no burnouts.
Used Audi S4 or maybe an A3 or A4 with the sport package. BMW will sell you an ugly 4 door Mini with AWD for about 30k. Money better spent would be a CPO 3 series with AWD.

How's it pointless?
All those burnouts do is eat up the rubber on your tires and abuse drivetrain components.....and sometimes get you tickets.

Why not STI? Too boy racer? It's a very good all-around race/sport/ralley car.
