This Viper V10-Swapped Honda S2000 Doesn’t Care What VTEC is
As far as implausible engine swaps go, this one isn’t quite at the top of the tables, but it’s close. However, the Craigslist ad description for this Viper V10-swapped Honda S2000 puts it in a different light.
The car's owner, who drives it without the hood because he likes the look, says it’s an excellent runner and it’s fully upgraded all-round to take the power; he makes it sound like it’s a daily driver.
It features a stock 8.3-liter V10 from the ’06 Viper SRT10, an upgraded rear end that can take the power, a much bigger radiator, uprated brakes, springs and (quite brash) wheels secured with drag lugs.
The owner has put some 14,000 miles on it since installing the new engine (60,000 miles in total on the car’s odometer) and, as previously stated, he is really trying to sell it as a quirky everyday runabout. He’s even offering the hood, which he prefers not to use, for a grand total of 27,000 of your dollars US.

at our local PCA event one guy brought an preped S2000.... HOLY X($*) at the end of the performance driving school when students get to jump in different cars, I went in all sorts of porsches... you know which one on course was fastest and scared the crap out of me? S2000 by far.
He told me he missed a shift once on the track and they calculated the RPMs based on speed and gear... 18,000 RPMS and the motor held together! Honda sure can build an industructible engine.
Love that car, if I could have gotten my knees into the car I would have bought one, being 6'2" I had to go with a Cayman instead.

The AP2 can withstand a mis-shift a bit better. AP1 would have its valve retainers cracked and possibly lead to a dropped valve. Honda improved the retainer so there is a bit more room for error. Great engines though. You can take to redline all day long and the motor doesn't complain.

Difference between the viper and s2000 engine/transmission is a total of ~325lbs.
The viper without its engine/transmission weighs roughly the same as a stock S2000 with its drivetrain. This of this car as a Viper that weight on a 400lbs diet.

As a former S2000 owner, this could create a hilarious candidate camera moment.
Everyone knows what the stock car lacks in torque it makes up in fun.
Put the hood back on and hand the keys to some one, don't say too much about the car's mods and get a go pro of the driver when he punches it.
