If today's cars are so reliable, I wonder why we change them so often and why the get old so fast.

many / most change because they want a change and get bored, rather than the cars becoming unreliable. and cars get old faster now because automotive technology (not just gadgets but build techniques, fuel economy, safety, etc.) is advancing faster and faster.

I'd much rather change my car because I want something newer or more features as oppose to it being too unreliable. This is why I'm sticking with Toyota/Lexus from now on. Reliability is a PRIORITY with them.

I sat in one at the dealer, for a 50k + car the interior build quality and material are terrible. Went to the Lexus show room after and a fully optioned out IS250AWD at 47k was many times better. My gf was laughing because from the moment I got in the Q60 I was picking the car apart.

Edit: now that I took a closer look, I dont know what car it is. I swear that the car I was sitting in was a G37, but when I checked the badge it said q60, yet it looks nothing like the pics in this thread? hmmm

Unfortunately newer doesn't always mean better—
1997 Nissan maxima. - http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/nis...7/single-page/
2004 Renault/Nissan Maxima - http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/nis...4/single-page/

The reliability difference is like night and day.

infiniti changed the nomenclature on their cars. so the G37 sedan is now the Q50 and the G37 coupe is now the Q60. so if you were in a 2014+ coupe...you were in a Q60.

the pics in this thread on of the 3rd gen G coupe (now Q60) that will be introduced next week...

If I'm not mistaken, they will still be sellin the g-series sedans alongside the q50.

Ah that makes sense, thanks for the explanation.

Then I will still keep my opinion that their q60 was a POS (current gen) for the price point lol

When it came out it was just fine given the performance and reliability it offered. It was even Consumer Reports approved. The car is just old.

Out of curiosity, were you looking at an ipl edition? I don't recall the coupes getting to that price unless it's an ipl

Wonder if this TTV6 is related to the unit in the Mercedes C400?

Not really looking forward to the interwebs buzzing over "Infiniti Q60 gets a TT V6 but the RC only has NA V6"
