355 is probably the sexiest looking Ferrari ever made
Maranello was a departure from Ferrari in your face, quirky looks and an entrance into luxury GT class
F50 was a lean and sexy beast at its time that never got proper credit even though it was a much better car than F40
Modena was a first Ferrari baby that fed of a $100,000 car boom in the early 2000s and somehow made Ferrari mainstream and affordable.
What those cars above have all in common? They are all crap when it comes do reliability and usability, stay away from them.
You want a proper DD Ferrari? Get the F430 and nothing below that. Even 599 is debatable but Berlinetta, FF and California should be fine.

As for reliability of any of these models, do you have first hand experience?
I know well enough that if you want a flappy paddle gearbox, they really didn't get them right until the F430 came along. Any car(Lambo, Ferrari, Aston) with those first generation of sequential manual boxes are something I'd avoid, as they don't know how to execute a smooth shift at anything less than wide open throttle, which at that they are brilliant.
Plus if something did go wrong(and I know the one on the Aston Martin Vanquish was a real pos), you're looking at $10k+ to replace/rebuild one of those boxes.
Fortunely all of that can be avoided if you just simply buy a 360 Modena or F355 with a proper clutch pedal and that cool chrome shift gate and chrome shift handle.

The 575 is pretty solid too, once the "few" issues it usually have are taken care of preemptively.
Tho I must admit, the aston flappy paddle sucks (vantage and the early 2000s vanquish). The DB9 uses a slushbox so that actually is better. Really ridiculous considering the vantage and f430 shares the same gear box and f1 mechanism, yet the ferrari shifts so much better.
Oh yeah the aston also shares the common ferrari problem of not being able to engage 2nd gear when cold in their 6speed units. Again, same gearbox

Yeah, I spend maybe 1/3 of my time in Newport - right near the events and I've still never made it out to them. Maybe one of these days!

Favorite "Ferrari"?
Not to take the thread off-topic, but a close friend of mine had a bright red 1994 Toyota MR2 Turbo. Note its remarkable resemblance to a Ferrari......with a heck of a lot more build-quality and reliability, not to mention a much lower price. That's one reason why he loved the car.

My bright red BMX is much more reliable and much cheaper then your friend's MR2, which is why I love my BMX. Your friend should have bought a BMX instead
Then again, my bright red shoes are much more reliable and much cheaper then my BMX. Shoes are really all everyone needs. Why do anyone need even a bicycle? Walking is good for you! Shoe is really all the transportation anyone ever need, walking barefoot for a long distance is pretty harsh
