Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf Now Available in Europe and South Africa
Aston Martin will be selling a total of 200 Lagonda Taraf sedans in Europe, the UK and South Africa. The car was launched in Dubai last year with first delcared intentions to sell exclusively in the Middle East.
The company CEO, Andy Palmer, said “opening up the Lagonda Taraf to an increased number of customers around the world was a high priority for me as soon as I joined Aston Martin late last year. I wanted to be able to offer this exceptional saloon to the potential owners from around the globe who have been enquiring about it, and I’m very happy that we have been able to expand the Lagonda proposition.”
He’s suggesting it was people’s inquiries that motivated the management to think about selling it elsewhere, and we don’t expect them to stop at just Europe and South Africa.
Palmer made it clear that they want to sell to “customers around the world” so we assume that if it can be made compliant, there would be no reason not to sell it in the US and other major markets (China?).

Aston Martin Shows Off White Lagonda Taraf In Saudi Arabia
Our interest in the Lagonda Taraf was recently renewed after Aston Martin reversed a decision to offer the car only in the Middle East, but make no mistake; the oil-rich states are the British firm's primary target.
At last week's American Express World Luxury Expo in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Aston Marton showcased the luxury sports saloon in a white paint-job. Only four pictures of the car were released from the show, but we've added photos from previous presentations and Aston's own press folder for your clickable-enjoyment.
Originally conceived as a bespoke model made exclusively for the Middle East, the car is now promoted as the Taraf from the Aston Martin Lagonda sub-brand to Europe and other select global markets such as Singapore and South Africa.
Technically, the carbon-fiber bodied Lagonda Taraf is based on the Rapide S using the same 552hp (560PS) 5.9-liter atmospheric V12 engine.

I give these lower volume manufacturers like Aston a pass on the tech and amenities because they just don't have the development budget for it. The newest Aston models are using Mercedes infotainment from generations ago.
