Wow so Jaguar drops the 2.0T from the XF and the base engine is now the 340hp 3.0 supercharged 6 which tops the smaller XE range.
Dig deeper into the press release and the next step up the latter from the XF 35t (340hp) is the XF S (380hp)

old one yes, new one no... But Jaguar did a good thing for their dealers with XF, since they were lacking product in Europe, to keep the dealers alive, they dropped the pricing on XF so it was really dirt cheap... looking at german prices right now, it is priced like IS and 3 series.

if only they would do that here, just to gain market share.
But I'd still be a little hesitant to buy a jag because their history is full of car problems.

Well they just announced a lot of prices being lowered by several thousand dollars, and they're also launching 5 year schedule maintenance included.

indeed... i would be worried by reliability as well and resale price later on. All of JLR vehicles have pretty bad resale prices, gotta be reliability reputation.

Not true...both the RR full size and RR sport hold their value pretty well. Both have won multiple ALG resale value awards and within the past couple of yrs sellers were actually breaking even or making money selling 1-2 yr old full size RRs.
