What happened to Lexus rankings?

True, true. I agree it's about quality But even taking into account US market sales they were half of their competition.
" U.S. BMW AG saw its new car sales in 2012 grow approximately 13.8 percent to 347,583, thereby marking the year as the carmaker’s best year in the U.S. in a long time. "
"As for U.S. sales of Mercedes-Benz brand cars, they climbed about 11.8 percent to approximately 274,100."
"Only in 2012 December, Audi AG sold slightly over 14.800. Lexus also experienced an improvement as 2012 car sales jumped approximately 31.2 percent to about 132.700 over a year."
LOL!!! OK, you got me there. One would be kicked out if the board room for that. But do take into account the other links.
My point is I believe that they WILL bounce back domestically and internationally as the Japanese recover from the twin disasters. Also taking into account Lexus only started in 1989 to be able to compete with such brands with deep history as the Germans says something. Truly a monumental achievement. They haven't been around even a half century

Lexus had record sales world wide in 2013.
They sold 520k cars in 2013, and they had highest sales in July 2014 USA of all brands. There is no bouncing back to anything as these are their record sales world wide. They can only go up, which they are doing in 2014, which will be another record year for the brand world wide.

This thread is making me pour some Grand Marnier
Not really. The vast majority to my eyes were the Toyota Crown and they were much older and pristine in condition.
In Yokohoma where Nissan is located I saw quite a few Fuga's as taxis and other Nissans of course.

Don't expect an answer back from someone who is trolling and has no data to back up their statement/question. I've had my '13 GS350 since April 2012 (28 months for those who can't count) and haven't had one minor thing go wrong, so there's your Initial Quality and Long-term Reliability results right there.

Yup, that's right, all taxis in Japan are Nissans & Infinitis. And without those fleet sales, they would probably go out of business
