not feeling this side profile view - white tends to accentuate 'bulkiness' though...

compare to m4

and mustang gt

I don't know why the Mustang keeps coming up... for 95% of people, they will never cross shop a Mustang with an M4 or RC F because there is a $30,000 difference in base price.

There's no doubt that RCF is going to be a good car. However, i still think the M3/M4 is still king of its class, unless AMG has something up its sleeve for the new C

If one is hung up on price or badge sure. But at it's most basic though, the Mustang and RC F are two RWD V8 coupes. Criteria is criteria

You get used to the bulkiness, interesting the hood is actually quite straight on the RC-F. That's not the impression you get from the 3/4 views.

I understand that they are fundamentally all RWD coupes with 400+ hp, but to your point above about being "hung up" on price or badge....... yes, that is how and why people buy cars.

I don't think many people are cross shopping Chevy SS with the 550i or E550 just because they are V8 RWD sedans. I don't think many people are cross shopping Sorentos with X5s and GLs because they are all available with AWD and have three rows of seats.

The person shopping for an M4 or RC F has way more money to spend and wants an entirely different experience vs. the person buying a Mustang.

The comparisons just don't make any sense.

i think you might be surprised at what people cross-shop. plus about the RC F / M4 vs Mustang... maybe a person has enough to BUY a Mustang, or is contemplating LEASING an RC F / M4. maybe the payments work out the same. some people justify things in creative ways. in the end, we want what we want... but might compare VERY different things.

i know someone who just went from an X5 to a Prius and now to a Panamera. i don't know if he leased or bought any of those, but he could buy them all at once without missing the money.

Have you seen it in real life? It has great stance and looks very masculine. You will instantly see it is a M car and not a regular 4 coupe m-sport. I have seen it couple time now, it looks impressive.

Default New Lexus RC-F Rendered Topless

Since the Lexus RC (and RC-F) is a direct rival to the BMW 4-Series (and M4 respectively), a drop-top variant would definitely be in order, so as to properly take the fight to the Germans on all fronts.

The transformation of the RC-F into a convertible would probably look a lot like what X-Tomi created in the rendering posted below.

It’s a simple chop job, but it seems that once the roof is off, the wider wheelarches of the F really stand out. It looks good and for those exclusively looking for infinite headroom, it’d be the only one worth looking at – you’d also hear the vocal V8’s baritone bellows better.

There's a strong chance that Lexus will launch this model in due time; after all, their convertibles have been known to sell really well.

The RC-F is pure hotness.

The m3 looks like a regular 4 series ( 3 series coupe?) and it's based on the same platform with the same engine.

The RC-F is made from the ground up. It's most likely another engineering monstrosity grade vehicle from Toyota/Lexus

I question if Lexus really developed the RCF from the "ground up." It seems to be a Frankenstein of platforms from the GS, IS, and ISC.
