Check out the upscale interior. Lincoln better step it up or there is no place for the MKZ

Well to be fair, some of the Camry's competitors outclass it in several areas. Enough the point where they should be Camry-beaters. But as you know the Camry's reliability and reputation keep that from happening.

I like the interior changes in Fusion facelift... buttons are back.

There's not really any reason the Fusion couldn't be a Camry beater. Granted, mine is a 2012, so it's not the current gen, but it's a spectacular vehicle so far. I love it. MPG could be a little better(I decided it was more important to have a 3.0 V6 over the better economy of a 4 cylinder), but I'm very happy.
Can't wait to see this new one.

I have a business colleague who has a 2015 Fusion. I have ridden in it several times and not only is it a good-looking car from an exterior standpoint, the interior is very nice and comfortable as well. The seats are sporty and hold you in, the leather is double-stitched, and for the price of the car the materials are quite good. Even the current voice recognition works well. She says, "I'm hungy" and the car lists all the nearby restaurants. I can see why the Fusion has been such a hit for Ford. I can only imagine what it will be like with the refresh.

The interior in the spy shots does like nice. I was in the market for a mid sedan few months back and fusion had one of the best ride / handling balance. The mid sedan market is very competitive with great choices all around. More than being a Camry beater (in terms of sales) i think the refresh will help the fusion maintain or improve its own position within this ultra competitive segment.

I drove a Fusion Energi and came away very impressed. The ride on that car was smooth, the handling (limited testing since I was downtown but managed to find an empty road in the industrial area) is more European than American. And the driver's seat was very comfortable.
As much as I like the Camry, I don't see why the Fusion can't be up there. In fact why isn't there a comparison between the Fusion and the Camry or the Fusion and the Accord? Aside from MyFordTouch (which will be replaced by SYNC3 soon), it doesn't really have any glaring faults.
