It isn't a new study. JD Power is highly respected. Not sure how anyone car agree with this list outside of Cadillac
Johan left Infiniti as he obviously didn't think it was appealing .

This thread and this "study" is a joke. Cadillac, Infiniti, & Acura outsell Lincoln and always have. So obviously all three brands are more "appealing" than Lincoln, because buyers would rather spend their money on any one of those three instead. Only a complete idiot would give this ridiculous "study" any credibility

Very telling that Hyundai wasn't included, even thought they have the Equus that "competes" with the LS, etc. and the Genesis that "competes" with the GS, etc. I guess it is a combination of not having a separate luxury brand and starting at a lower price point.

It's not a true "study" it's another measure of owner satisfaction. Of course most new car buyers are somewhat biased and want to be able to feel good about their purchase/acquisition.
It can almost be seen as a measure of how does each brand hit its intended demographic/target owner group.
The Honda Ridgeline won its category. Most people here would say that there is little that is appealing about the Ridgeline. Honda owners are fairly notorious in the industry for being huge fans of their own products.

Land Rover rated higher than Lexus or BMW? Where was this poll conducted, Heresford-on-Thames? Not slamming Range Rover but they're so low-visibility, at least in my part of the US (near Chicago). Never knew anyone who even owned one.

Where are you, near Gary, IN? I cannot walk to my office in Chicago without getting smoked by 2 range rovers!
They are everywhere. Also its a what, 6+ month wait to get one right now? For a 2014 study its not unthinkable that LR is ranked that high based on the criteria of the report.

It's no coincidence that some of the brands at the bottom also sell at the bottom. Audi is hugely appealing, my boss just picked us a new S8.
I can't think of one person I know that would argue that any of the bottom should not be there. They have minimal buzz and lack aspirational value. For decades. Cadillac is the only one that can be argued has appeal especially considering they just sold a boatload of 72k+ Escalades last month.

these comparisons are really very silly. comparing volvo and porsche? acura and jaguar? lincoln and bmw?
acura, lincoln, and volvo can't even be considered luxury brands.
