If the power to weight ration were factored in, the tech specs would go to the Vette automatically. But the way it was done, it looked as if the bike were desperate to find something it could beat. Sure, with two wheels and that light, it's going to out accelerate a car any day (even a Vette). Not a meaningful contest IMHO.

i love these comparos, everytime a new hot car comes out they race it against a motorcycle and lose. I remember one against a Viper GTS when it came out. I used to smoke Ferrari's and 911 Turbos in high school on my little $3000 600cc Yamaha, its really not a fair comparison.

When I would get up to 135mph on my bike it was pretty scary, tears streaming out of my eyes from the wind even with a full face helmet, I'd much rather being doing triple digits in a car.

I built an 11 second bike in 1990 (with 210 lbs of me and safety gear on it). Nothing street legal on four wheels could touch it off the line, and quite a few tried. But as Hoovey said, let's put them on a road course. Game over, Vette wins hands down. Two wheels have no downforce and only one tire doing the braking - the same one responsible for getting the bike pitched over so the back wheel can do all the important work of cornering, while the Vette has four very large contact patches...

And yes, I've held a motorcycle road racing license, so I'm not just guessing. There's a good reason nobody runs cars and bikes in the same session at a road course.
