Oh, I dislike the diamond stitching on the designo MBs too. But at least that is confined to the seats and small parts of the dash. The pleating here is on the entire interior door panel...mixed with very busy glass cutting, and an even busier speaker grill

To me, its a bunch of L's mimicking the headlight bulb design. Looks good, but Lexus may need to look at other letters in the alphabet...

I can't stand the diamond patterns either, but apparently, a lot of people who buy S Class and LS are in the older age group, and they love the old school fussy Elvis styling that Bitkahuna was referring to.

Kind of over designed for my liking.

The new LS: over designed and under powered.

The PD100 is perfect for you, no interior design, and stupid amounts of power (at least for some of the time.) And a bargain at $150k

No, I'm already thinking about what to get.

Here is my list of considerations in order that I will likely get come lease end in 2018:

1. Audi S7
2. Audi A8 4.0t
3. BMW m550i
4. Audi S8 if I decide to say screw it and go all out.

I don't like the new 7 series. Too many around here. Same for the S550. Don't see many A8s or S7s.

I was going buy my next vehicle instead of leasing but I'm just going to lease again.

Nice list, similar to mine, except:

S6 instead of A7 (need 5 seats)
No A8/S8. A8 is due for a redesign
New LS (pricing)
5 series diesel (if it comes to the US)

My Audi lease ends May 31. May have to extend it or drive the truck for a few months to wait. Lots of options for 2018.

Yeah A7 and A8 are all new in 2018 on new, shared platforms, I think. My lease ends December 2018, so it will likely be a 2019 MY.

It's going to be a busy year for car releases for sure, but that's good for us, the consumer.

Outstanding how expressive this is. Really hope the next GS follows suit!

Man, in the image above, the door pockets are really small.

Isn't the new LS500 faster than your 2016 LS460?

Seems strange you would buy/lease an even more underpowered car.

Well, over the last three cars I went from 200 HP to my current 386 HP at almost +100 HP increments per car.

My next car will have over 450 HP. I crave HP as much as I crave refinement, smoothness and being comfortable.

The new LS is too small of a jump for my next car. Over designed and under powered.
