Default price mistake....2015 STI for $30K...

while getting my car serviced I walked over to look at an STI and saw this.....I brought a saleman out and showed him and he just laffed and said, hahhah yeah, that's wrong. Has anyone been successful in getting a dealer to honor a $6000 price mistake? (This dealer only will sell STI's at MSRP). I got a little serious and asked the guy if I really complained about it to the GM if they would honor it.....he said no way....they sell them all the time for MSRP and there's no way they would honor that.

I don't see why they wouldn't do it, anyone could negotiate 6K off if they had enough tact to do it..

I had to put tacks in thumbs to get my dealer to honor the price they INTENTIONALLY set, so I think getting them to honor a mistake would be impossible.

In most cases, the STI has too loyal a core of dedicated buyers to get any significant discounts on. If this is a Subaru dealership where nobody knows you or you have not dealt with before, you can pretty much expect to pay list, a slight markup, or a very small discount at best. Often, dealerships will "pad" cars like the STI with extra-cost accessories/options (they are sometimes on a second non-factory sticker) to get even more profit out of them. A dealership, though, where you know some of the people, have been to before, or are a repeat customer may be more inclined to give you a little more break on the price....as a thank-you for repeat buisness. But in most cases, if you want a specialized high-peformance car like the STI, you have to pay to play.

In all honesty the STIs go cheaper on the west coast. Nobody needs AWS. They are ALL over the NE

ugh, slimey dealers... I can't wait the day we are like other countries any don't have to deal with these scummy middle men who have virtually monopolies they can pass down through the family and discourgage competition from Internet dealers. I hope Elon Musk revolutionizes not just the automobile, but how we as Americans buy them.

I don't think that addendum sticker matters, it's whatever gets put on your sales order/contract. It's not the monroney that is wrong.
