I don't see where adding the magnetic shocks will make that big a difference. Pony cars aren't known for a sophisticated chassis. Look how successful the Mustang has been with a live axle.....some reviewers even compared the Boss 302's handling to the BMW M3. And people aren't rushing out to buy the 2015 Mustang just because of the now-standard IRS.

I'm not surprised that the styling is evolutionary, as this was hinted at in 2013, likely a bit after design freeze. The refresh was pretty much a placeholder between the 2009-13 and this 2016 model. Next year the Camaro will be 50 years old (September 1966), but this narrowly misses that by a year.

Looks ok. Interior is better, but seat is still meh. Hope they have $2000 optional seats for those who want.

I like the new front - back end is ok.

I would never order this on a Camaro....just something else to wrong IMO.

I just point out there will be such an option. This is the reason why adjustable suspension is only offered in Mustang GT350/R, not the regular GT.

On the other note, new Camaro looks like an improvement, a incremental one. I wish them successful. If I have to pick one of the 3 pony cars, Mustang still got my vote.

It was just an observation, which is the point. They've never had adaptive suspension in this class (iirc) but as cars become more sophisticated it's going to become more expected as an option especially on higher trims. That's just the way it goes. Tech is pioneered in race and higher pedigree cars and trickles down. I can get adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers and blind spot monitoring on a Mustang now. Nothing wrong with older technology, but society and industry (auto) are progressive and sooner or later will catch up to the Joneses.

Perfect update - Everyone for the most part liked the exterior design of the old one - so why mess with it.
They took a page out of the 911 playbook.... they only fixed what was needed.

Old car was too big and heavy - New one is smaller and lighter.
Old car had interior that was horrendous! - New interior looks MUCH better but where is the hand brake??

Eh, nothing special done here. The front and rear are slightly modernized, but the side profile looks just like the current retro boat. GM had another chance to enter into contemporary sports car territory with a credible nameplate, but decided to cling to the past. This fuddy-duddy mentality is the core thing holding the company back in overall sales. At least they got rid of the toyish gauge tubes.

is it just me or did they narrow the windows even more? Now you have this gauge cluster that sticks up a lot in an already narrow windshield. 2015 gauges didnt stick up, 2015 stang doesnt either. Visibility is going to be even more terrible. When you watch the reveal videos you can barely see the drivers head much less their body when they roll it out. That was a huge complaint with the current one and they didnt even try to fix it. It seems more bloated than the previous, like a Dodge Challenger. This shouldve looked like a new camaro. Its just going to look like the old one when it drives by.
