^ more importantly, the Africans learn from the jungle rules - even lions do not try to cross the paths of an Elephant. Only in the USA, does the small guy try to cross the road in front a City bus coming down the road
in the name of right of way.

In Third-World countries, police often direct traffic at intersections. But it seems obvious that no traffic cop in his or her right mind would want to stand in the middle of that one.

From my experience as a pedestrian in your neck of the woods...it's not too different where you are
