Going uphill with heavy load helps braking too

these auto-braking systems are cool, as long as everything works perfectly... i cant imagine what kind of hell storm would there be if 10 years from now there are some accidents with these auto-brakes activating when not needed and causing accidents.

Imagine 2010 Toyota recalls with auto-brake system? Everyone would go beserk. They went beserk as it is with simple gas by wire system.

That video is sped way up. That truck was probably doing 20-25mph in real life.

rear ending ones... there are already reports of Malibu (I think) activating full brakes on highway and people rear ending that car. There are some reports in the europe with city brake system as well.

You are not going to be able to brake fast enough when one of these activates in front of you because at highway speeds your reaction times wont be fast enough...

Well in 10 years most cars will probably have some kind of auto-braking system. So, no a problem if the car infront of you brakes, it just activate the auto-brake on your car.

It can also be avoid if people simply keep proper distance to the car infront and be alert.
