2015 Dodge Challenger (including Hellcat)

Matt and TST Director of Photography Thaddeus Brown went to Portland to drive the Hellcat, and got rained on. Good for sideways fun, but not really to see what the car can do. Chrysler kindly gave us 30 more minutes with the Hellcat on one of California's most technical roads: Mulholland Highway's "Snake" section. Now that we have grip, lets see if this boat can corner.

Watch Extreme Skater Do 200 KM/H behind Dodge Challenger SRT8
There are many ways to get your adrenaline pumping, from playing pranks to people that could hurt you to skydiving, but for some people nothing equals high-speed skating.
One of these daredevils is Dirk Auer, a professional German extreme skater who once skated down the track of a roller coaster. His most recent feat is a lot less scary compared to that, although for regular people it’s anything but ordinary.
Auer was filmed while skating at 200 km/h (124 mph) behind a Dodge Challenger SRT8, using only his hands to keep contact with the vehicle. Before you jump to conclusions and say that the man is crazy, you should know that this is just training to him.
That’s because Auer holds several world records in speed skating behind vehicles, including 307 km/h (190.7 mph) behind a Porsche and 291 km/h (180.8 mph) behind a motorcycle. So yeah, the man knows what he’s doing. Scroll down to watch him in action.

Its crazy how far the tech has come from the 1970 Challenger with the big Hemi or 440 V8. Those you'd do a low 13 second et if you could find traction and had a steep rear gear, which meant they were really making about 350 to 400 horse at the crank if you factor in the weight of the car. Both those cars you were guzzling gas at about 10mpg if you kept your foot out of it.

The legendary band Mötley Crüe arrives in style at Gas Monkey Live in Dallas, Texas so they can perform a private concert for Dodge owners. To make things even sweeter, they arrived in four Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcats. The event took place on Nov. 1, 2014.

Dodge Has Over 5,000 Orders for 707HP Challenger SRT Hellcat
It's not all tattered news for Dodge, which became the Chrysler Group's black sheep in October being the only marque to post a sales decrease over the same month last year.
Besides the Dart compact car's 28 percent increase in October, surprisingly, the Challenger's sales were up by 27 percent, even though it's been on the market since 2008 having just received a facelift this year.
What’s even more impressive is that Dodge said it received 4,000 orders for the mighty 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat when the ordering system was opened for dealers last month and has gathered more than 5,000 orders now.
With 707-ponies from its supercharged HEMI V8 and a starting price of $59,995, the Challenger SRT Hellcat is one helluva power-bargain for the money, but still, that's well over $60k once you include tax, fees and other charges – not bad at all for Dodge's coffers.
