I'm so happy for Lexus and the success of the IS. It's a pretty sweet looking car in person, I must admit.
6-series...they literally must've fire-saled those cars. It looks like the 6-series directly took away from 5-series sales last month.
Audi is going to get even more intense when the A3 hits the streets shortly. Cadillac does have the new Escalade on the way though which will definitely boost sales.

On Nissan, Honda and Toyota:
Kelley Blue Book’s Gutierrez said Nissan’s gains coincided with increased incentive spending by the carmaker. The Irvine, California-based pricing and data service estimates the carmaker’s average transaction price dropped 3.1 percent from a year earlier to $27,697. By comparison, Honda’s average price rose 4.3 percent from a year ago to $28,454 and Toyota’s was 2.3 percent higher, according to Kelley Blue Book.

No inventory, it's one of the hottest cars in the world right now. With the sport package it looks great, I agree the base model is mudane. Mercedes seems to know what people want in a fwd small car. It's not overpriced since consumers obviously love it and may see it as a value since it's an entry level Mercedes.

Yes it's pretty quiet. Still compare to the leader in its segment it's still at the starting line in sells. But just b/c a car doesn't sell well doesn’t make it a good car. From the lease quotes I have been seeing on here I almost feel like getting one as daily driver. IMO the exterior of the GS don't do just to the car capabilities. I still luv the previous body style. Moving on...
Every month i'm still amaze by how many 3 series/E class/RX are sold every month.

Crickets.
The GS is selling better than last year at this point. No car is going to match the E/5 but if the GS can sell around 20-24k cars a year here it seems Lexus is happy.

5- 3,865
CTS-2,918
GS- 2,484
