I saw all these photos your referencing a long time ago. Caranddriver has been duped. Up to today there has never been an actual photo of the new NX leaked except for the fuzzy one. Toyota does a great job at secrecy.

It might be pretty close to that pic but that's a sport version and more concept like. Toyota is too conservative for that.
Remember the NX is a more luxurious RAV for the soccer mom.
If it's like the other pics,it's boring.

I can see this pic being the new NX.

I hate seeing you label it a soccer mom car already. That's lame. It will be many things to different buyers. I know I don't have one in the family.

You can't deny the big majority of CR-V,RAV and even the RX models and some other CUV's are driven mostly by females.

Roger, the RX has always been based on the Camry. Essentially the Highlander and RX are the same vehicle. Thought this was widely known. Obviously the "Camry wagon" hasn't hurt sales. I never intended for my initial comment to be derogatory.

I'm sure someone on this forum can provide a reference.

So the blurred pic is the actual NX and not a sport version.

what do you mean sport version, like f-sport? it is actual car show at Toyota dealer conference. I dont think it is f-sport because all signs point it to be top end luxury version - F-Sport would have mesh grille like RX. In any case, it is not concept, it is real car just very bad resolution blown up.

The pic is calling it a LF-NX.
I'm assuming it's somewhat of a F-Sport type NX.

Any talk of what engines will be in the NX.Maybe a 3.5L option.

Here's one for the 2008 (third-gen) Highlander:

The new RX sticks to the formula that made it a success (Camry-based, leather-lined, quiet, and refined, with controls that feel as if they’re filled with churned butter), but Lexus has improved nearly every piece and part.

Now that last quote is no longer 100% true, since the ES was moved to the Avalon platform with the 2013 redesign. But the RX remains, as it has been for 17 years, a lifted Camry wagon.

If the NX looks anything as sharp as the IS and RC, it should be a great seller.

it is not f-sport NX, as you can see by the pics, it doesnt have f-sport features.

NX will have 2.0t and 300h engines so far.

What is a LF?

2.0T is great over the 2.5L.

Well, it is based on MC platform that is also on many cars, like Corolla... doesn't really mean they share parts though, thats not how platforms work, at least not right now (actually will in the future with new Toyota and VW platforms).

As to Avalon and ES, considering how much better ES sells than Avalon, I would say it is ES platform... same goes for RX vs Highlander, RX is better seller so RX "platform" is probably designed for RX first.

No the Highlander outsells the RX. Think you are splitting hairs. It is fact that the Highlander, RX, Camry, ES and Avalon, Venza, etc. share the same platform. To think that these vehicles do not share parts like switch gear, "mechanicals", ...etc. is just not true.

The NX as you know will share platforms will the RAV-4 and corolla. Using your logic, if the NX outsells the RAV-4, next generation NX platform might be designed as a Lexus first and then scaled for a Corolla and RAV-4. This seems highly unlikely.

Now I wish I would have never mentioned the Camry wagon.
