Subaru really screwed the pooch with this. I'll say the WRX was funner to drive though and quicker, that's about it.
wait what? dealer wanted to charge you 40k for base model? The car I ordered with all the mods I added was $40k (car started at $34k), and i'm getting it for $38.5K. Only mark up the manager said they are going to do on these is on a Launch Edition if their dealership gets any.

Nah I wasn't gonna buy one, and if I did it certainly wouldn't be anywhere near $40k and it would have to come with the previous gen body or no deal lol.

interesting. The blue one is a base model. Curious what they added to it. The base model I ordered had a sticker less than that discounted price. When I get home will have to take a a pic of the write out they gave me when ordering my car with all the numbers. Basically turned my base model into a limited and added the exhaust and short throw, still getting it 2k cheaper.

Ok just looked at my sheet again and my first comment was wrong. Thought it was less but couldn't remember till I got home and pulled out the sheet. As you can see I was given the same (pretty much) discount that is being applied to the above blue STi base, but on top that i was also discounted another grand.

The Subaru WRX STI returns to the UK, with a similar recipe - 2-litre turbocharged engine with nearly 300bhp, clever four-wheel-drive system and diff and a massive rear wing - but gets new technology and a hot hatch-rivaling price tag. Does the modern day Impreza do its rally DNA proud?

Pretty disappointed with the styling, especially that rear end.
