Hmm........I'm guessing that it's just a setting (when the time the said photos were taken)

Its to capture more of the seat in the picture…and I was like the tallest guy in Japan anyway so its probably accurate.

Is the face list E coupe still based of the W204 C class or have they moved on the 205?

The CLK class used to be aligned with the C-class

That was during the C209/A209 era (which uses the W203 C Class platform)

But ever since the W212 came out, MB decided to drop the CLK nameplate and create an E-class Coupe and Cabriolet instead with model designation C207 and A207.

As much 60% of those vehicles are derived from the sedan E-class W212.

For the upcoming W205 C-class (just unveiled a few weeks ago), it will have:
-4 door saloon
-5 door estate touring station wagon
-2 door coupe

Hope that answers your question

What Blackraven said is right, but to answer your question more directly, yes the 2014 E-class facelift coupe is riding on the W204 platform.

Thanks for the info, but as a former W209 owner I knew much of that already.

Hehe sure no problem......although yeah, I admit that there is some info that I'm unaware of.

I think TangoRed said it best here:

In any case, wow that is interesting. So the E-class Coupe and Cabrio is like a hybrid of W212 E class with elements from the previous C class (or CLK)

Interesting info

Its a shame they use the w204 platform. but even if they did, they should have used the same interior door design either.
