I was pretty blown away by the features in a loaded 30k or so Rouge…very impressive…the interior is a step up and the 7 seat option (or is it standard?) is great..
Unfortunately you would have to hold me at gunpoint to drive it as it is as bland as any Toyota has ever been.

The way I read it is that the system can deliver the torque to the front or the rear, in various amounts. In addition, it can, in a way, send torque left or right, but it does it by decreasing the opposite wheel, by using the brakes on that wheel.
So let's say it's at 50/50 front/rear. One rear wheel slips. It can use the brakes on the one rear wheel to effectively give the opposite rear wheel more torque (by brake limiting the torque on the other wheel). It makes for a somewhat limited but cost effective implementation of full torque vectoring.
Clear in my head, but perhaps not in my text. I hope that helps.
Does anyone know what the Rogue has for AWD? (Trying to stay on topic )

Lead Lap
A similar system to the RAV4, but not quite as advanced (it's not proactive). Once the front slips it can send up to 50% of power rearward. It also has a 50:50 torque split lock button that works under 25mph. Much like the RAV4, it can vector torque side-by-side by braking the appropriate wheels which Nissan calls Active Trace Control. It's also available with hill descent control. It does not preemptively send power rearward, which is the main difference here.

The pursuit of F
Nice improvement overall over the previous gen which was getting long in the tooth.
If you're buying for 5+ years, I would look to Honda or Toyota. Be careful of transmission and engine reliability issues as the CVT and 2.5L has been plagued in the past across various models (Sentra SE-R, Altima, Rogue)

I'm not a fan of the honda crv look.. The back just doesn't do it for me :/
Tks for the input guys.. I haven't looked at the escape just cause I was alway drawn into foreign cars cause of reliability.. But if the Americans reliability is better then before I'll look into it.

u can get a 2014 dodge durango BASE model for 25k brand new. IMO one of the best looking and bang for the money suv's out there IMO.
so a crv or rogue brand new base model should be around 16 to 17k if u take in account what u get for the money.

I like the nissan a lot. Engine noise on the cvt is pretty loud tho, which is kinda throwing me off a bit but other then that is a pretty nice car. I like there zero gravity seats
But I just saw on kbb that toyota and Mazda was vote best car for 5yr cost to own. Of course I knew toyota would make it( that's why I have a Lexus) but Mazda kinda surprise me. I'm gonna go look at the cx5
